About Us
Butt Karahi began in Lahore in 1979, built on one idea: that a karahi cooked fresh, with quality halal meat and the right balance of spice, is worth doing properly. Four decades later, the Butt family recipes are still the heart of every dish we serve.
Our Journey
That tradition crossed continents with Imtiaz Butt, founder and head chef of Butt Karahi Canada. He still leads the kitchen across all three of our locations in Mississauga and Pickering, holding every plate to the same standard: the finest halal meat, authentic recipes, no shortcuts. Goat, lamb, veal and chicken karahis are made to order, naan comes hot from the tandoor, and seekh kebabs go on the grill only after you order them. Good food takes a little time, and we think it's worth the wait.
